Gary Neville taunts Liverpool after Manchester United's FA Cup win

Gary Neville has aimed a fresh dig at Liverpool after Manchester United’s win in the FA Cup.

United secured a place in the fifth round of the competition thanks to a 3-2 victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side at Old Trafford.

Goals from Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes booked United’s place in the next round, where they will take on West Ham at home after they beat Doncaster Rovers.

The winner from substitute Fernandes came from a brilliant free-kick, which was awarded by referee Craig Pawson and later was the subject of controversy.

Regardless, United got the win and club legend Neville often pokes fun at Liverpool when they suffer a bad result - and he could not resist have another jibe this time around.

Taking to Twitter, Neville again posted a traditional selfie captioned “jovial”, where he poses drinking a glass of win.

Neville also took aim at Liverpool’s turquoise away kit which they wore at Old Trafford, and referenced a Championship club whose home strip is a similar colour.

“Good win for United. Credit to Coventry for sticking at it.”

United are next in action on Wednesday night, when they take on the Premier League’s bottom club Sheffield United at home, and another opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table.
