Gary Neville speechless on Marko Arnautovic to Manchester United transfer rumours as pundit slams Glazers

Gary Neville was left speechless after reports emerged that Manchester United had bid for Marko Arnautovic.

The fiery striker, 33, hit 14 goals for Bologna in Serie A last year following spells with West Ham and Chinese side Shanghai Port - but a £7.6million offer from United is said to have been rejected.

“The first thing you do when the phone rings from Manchester United is reject the bid,” Neville told Sky Sports on Sunday night.

“Because the reality of it is, you know full well they’ve lost that game today, they’re actually negotiating from a worse position than they were yesterday and that’s a big problem for them.

When asked on Arnautovic, Neville replied “I don’t know... I’ve no comment on it” before bursting into laughter.

“I’ve got a comment on everything in the world - apart from Manchester United signing Marko Arnautovic today! I’ve got nothing to say.”

Neville also took aim at the Glazer family, which owns the Old Trafford giants, following the limp defeat to Brighton that opened their season.

“We talk about the players - the time has come for the Glazer family to sell the football club,” he said. “The time has come. It's now."
