Gary Neville slams Jamie Carragher 'lies' after online spat with Liverpool legend
Jamie Carragher sparked an on-line war of words with broadcasting colleague Gary Neville on Saturday morning, calling out the former Manchester United captain for failing to criticise the club's owners while he was still a player at Old Trafford.
The exchange began when Neville Tweeted about United's fixture against Brentford. The ex-England right-back asked followers: "Right I’m a couple of hours from Brentford. What we thinking?"

Retweeting Neville, Carragher responded by writing: "I’m thinking you will call for the Glazers to sell the club, after not saying it once while they paid you." The Tweet sparked a huge flurry of activity on the social media platform before Neville quickly retorted, by responding: "Whilst we were battering your lot and winning league title after league title."
Neville has been scathing in his opinion of Manchester United's owners over the past few seasons, insisting that they should sell the club.
