Gary Neville has slammed former teammate Carlos Tevez for 'downing tools' towards the end of his spell at Man Utd.
The pair shared the same dressing room at Old Trafford during Tevez's two year loan spell between 2007-09.
Tevez had helped United to Premier League and European Cup success the season prior to his departure, but cut a frustrated figure during his second campaign at the club.
He then shocked United by turning down a chance to stay at the club to move to rival neighbours Man City, but Neville feels the forward already knew the end was coming.
"What annoyed me about Tevez was he downed tools in his second season," Neville told Sky Sports. "Started sitting on the treatment bench, started coming out late for training. Started messing around.
"He was playing the club, and I couldn't stand that.
"Particularly as I was at the time, ferocious Man Utd person on the inside, never thought of anything else in my life, only United ever single day.
"And the idea that someone would come into that changing room and sort of not just be at their best."
Tevez was dropped from the United lineup towards the end of the campaign, and admitted close to the season finale that he did not expect to remain at the club.
The player was still owned by Media Sports Investment group at the time, led by agent Kia Joorabchian, which caused difficulty with negotiations.
"I understand he had circumstances but his people were in his ear all the time, he was so led by his people," Neville said. "It was always going to come to an end like it did."
Despite United eventually tabling a bid to meet the option to buy clause in Tevez' loan contract, they were informed by the player's advisors he had no interest in staying on.
But Neville denies the striker's move to Man City was the reason behind his disapproval.
"I felt disappointed that as a professional that he didn't act the right way," Neville added. "I didn't have a problem with players leaving the club.
"David Beckham left the club, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy. Great, great players. But there was a way to leave the club and there was a way to behave when you were there.
"So the problem that I had with Tevez was not that he went to play with Man City, which in itself is a problem for me, that wasn't the main issue.
"It was the way in which it played out in those last few months, I didn't like it."
