Gary Neville was not happy with one particular Mohamed Salah decision during Liverpool's win over Arsenal.
The Reds maintained their perfect record with a 3-1 comeback win over Arsenal thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Andrew Robertson and debutant Diogo Jota.
Jota will have been delighted to net on his Anfield debut, but he might have had two had it not been for teammate Salah whose "selfish" streak saw him try to take a chance from his new Portuguese teammate according to Neville - a decision that saw the opportunity go begging.
Former Man United defender turned pundit discusses the incident on commentary for Sky Sports, expressing his disappointment with Salah.
“That is the selfish part of Salah," he said. "He’s thought, ‘you’re not having it, you’ve had a go already, I’m taking it off you’. It wasn’t there for him, it was Jota’s ball.”
“Salah will be disappointed with himself. He can’t do that. As great of a player as he is, he’ll know it’s not a particularly good look, that one.”
However, Salah's persistence and skill did lead to Liverpool's first goal.
He also kept the ball in play and recycled it in the build up to the third.
And the Egyptian almost had a brilliant assist when a searching pass into the area found Jota but the new man hit the side netting.
Neville has previously spoken about why a little bit of greed is actually good for Salah and Liverpool.
Earlier this month, the pundit offered a broader perspective on the forward's "selfishness" and how it helps fire the Reds to even greater heights.
Speaking after the opening weekend win against Leeds, Neville said: "[Sadio] Mane is likeable, I think the players probably love him, he’ll give his all every single day, he’ll do the selfless thing for the team.
"You look at Salah on the other side, he doesn’t pass sometimes to his team-mates, you think he’s a little bit more selfish, a little bit less likeable because of that - probably by the fans, probably by his own team-mates.
"But then, I look at him as somewhat of an outsider, and I’m someone who’s looking and thinking, he is an absolute killer on the pitch.
"It reminds me of the twin tracking of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in the mid-200s when they were both so close. That’s where Salah and Mane are."
Last night's win means Liverpool are among only four teams with a perfect record, Leicester City and Everton each winning their first three games, while Aston Villa have only played two, winning both.
Liverpool went behind against Arsenal when Alexandre Lacazette made the most of an error from Robertson, but the Scot made up for his mistake by putting his side in front before half-time after Mane had netted the equaliser.
Jota then put the cherry on the win, coming on for Mane 10 minutes from time.
