The Ammies are part-owned by former Red Devils players David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and the Neville brothers, which adds a huge amount of spice to what could have been a low-octane early season fixture.
Leeds United and Manchester United will lock horns next month in a pre-season friendly in Australia, with this draw offering another chance to renew one of English football's most bitter rivalries.
