Gary Neville reveals where he would like Liverpool to win the Premier League title

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has revealed when he would like to see Liverpool officially get their hands on the Premier League title.

The Reds are currently cruising their way towards their first league title in 30 years, knowing that a victory against struggling West Ham United at Anfield this evening leaves them requiring just four more wins.

A win for Liverpool this evening sees them take a 22-point advantage at the top of the table, making it near on impossible for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City to catch them.

But for former Manchester United defender Neville, who will no doubt feel the pain from seeing Liverpool collect their first-ever Premier League crown, he is hoping that Jurgen Klopp's troops will scoop the title at the expense of City dropping points against Burnley in mid-March or away at Southampton in early April.

Those two fixtures for City will not be broadcast live on Sky Sports, meaning Neville, who is a regular co-commentator for the company, will not have to suffer the pain of seeing City hand the title to Liverpool.

Speaking to Sky Sports' Monday Night Football, Neville said: "I have just been given my March and April fixtures this morning and my absolute preference is for Manchester City to drop points at either Burnley or Southampton and hand Liverpool the title, because there are no Sky cameras anywhere near it.

"They're both Saturday afternoons at three o'clock and I can be at home, relaxed and out of the way. The last place I want to be is in the stadium when they win it.

"I know that doesn't suit the company and Sky, or maybe even the Liverpool fans or anyone at home, but if City could drop points at home to Burnley or Southampton that would be ideal."
