Gary Neville overheard making whispered comment about Edinson Cavani to Martin Tyler

It's fair to say Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Manchester United this weekend was not a classic.

The points were shared in a game of few chances between the two sides in a result which sees United lose further ground in the title race.

But despite the lack of action on the pitch, Sky Sports viewers still picked up an amusing incident right at the end of the encounter.

Arsenal defender David Luiz and United striker Edinson Cavani were seen in deep discussion as the clock ticked down to full-time.

The duo are believed to have a close relationship off the pitch owing to the time they spent together at PSG for two years between 2014-16.

But one man who appeared to have forgotten this was commentator Martin Tyler, who speculated on the nature of the conversation.

As the camera panned to the two players chatting, Tyler said: "One is from Brazil, the other is from Uruguay. It looks quite friendly doesn't it."

During a long pause his co-commentator Gary Neville can then just about be heard whispering in the background: "They were at Paris Saint-Germain together. Paris Saint-Germain. At PSG they played together."

Tyler is then heard taking a deep intake of breath as he appears to remember that this was the case.

The result from the Emirates Stadium means the Gunners remain in mid-table, sitting in 10th place and eight points off the top four.

United, meanwhile, are still second but remain three points behind bitter rivals Manchester City having played a game more.

Both teams are back in action on Tuesday, with Arsenal travelling to Wolves and United hosting Southampton.

It remains to be seen if either of them do any business on transfer deadline day to try to bolster their squads ahead of the second half of the season, with Monday night seeing the window slam shut until the summer.
