Gary Neville has lavished praise on Joao Cancelo as the Manchester City defender continues to grow into this role at the club.
The Portuguese international has become a regular starter for Pep Guardiola in the Premier League this season after starting only 13 league matches in his debut campaign.
Cancelo has already started 11 of City's 15 Premier League matches this time around, first at left-back and now on the right side of the defence with Kyle Walker unavailable.
Whilst City are still searching for continuity at left-back with Benjamin Mendy yet to prove his worth and Oleksandr Zinchenko out of favour, Cancelo have been a grateful recipient of extra game time, albeit out of position.
However, his ability in possession and his athleticism has seen him rank as one of the most offensive full-backs in the Premier League this season, despite playing on the opposite side.
Neville managed Cancelo during his brief period at Valencia, which famously ended badly, and he was quick to heap praise on the then-youngster, who he "loved".
“I had him at Valencia for that period of time I was there and I have to say, I absolutely loved him," Neville said during commentary.
"He was very young at the time and just emerging, but I played him every single game, sometimes as a right-winger. He was young at the time, but he was brilliant.
"His athleticism, his quality, his enthusiasm to play football, was fantastic. I always knew he’d play for some of the biggest clubs. He went to Juventus, and for Inter Milan as well."
