Gary Neville names the key element that makes Liverpool a team capable of winning the Premier League

Gary Neville has highlighted one key strength that could see Liverpool win the Premier League title this season.

The Reds have made a 100% start to the new season, beating Norwich City, Southampton, Arsenal and Burnley in their first four league matches.

With Manchester City drawing against Tottenham, Jurgen Klopp's side hold a two-point lead over their main title rivals already.

Despite not bolstering their squad in summer, there is feeling around Merseyside that Liverpool will once again run City close for the Premier League crown.

Neville is of a similar opinion and feels it is the Reds "clinical edge" in every department of the team that stands them out against the rest of the potential challengers.

Writing in his latest column for Sky Sports, Neville said: "I was watching Liverpool at Burnley and I had that feeling.

"I said last year I thought they were a championship team. They are a championship team. They are playing at a level that could win the title.

"You watched them at Burnley, and they weren't brilliant in the first 20 minutes, but they go and get a goal and then a second goal.

"You talk about the clinical element of a team. The defensive bit is right, the attacking bit is right, and the midfield looks solid and experienced.

"They are a title-winning team and they were last year, essentially with what they did."

Liverpool host Newcastle on Saturday lunch-time, looking to continue their fast start to the season.

With a first Champions League encounter of the season to contend with, the reigning European champions could opt to freshen their side ahead of a busy schedule.

Joe Gomez, James Milner and Divock Origi are all on hand for the Reds, should Jurgen Kopp opt to shuffle his pack against the Magpies.
