Gary Neville believes Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips is the best English midfielder in the Premier League.
Phillips was a key part of the Leeds side that secured promotion to the Premier League and he has since impressed in the top-flight.
The midfielder has also shone for England since first making his debut in September 2020 and played a huge role in Gareth Southgate’s side reaching the final of Euro 2020.
Phillips was praised for his displays alongside Declan Rice in a midfield-two with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson forced to watch on from the sidelines.

"He came into the Premier League 12 months ago but he's now the best English midfielder there is, by far," Neville told Sky Sports.
"For me, when you think of players, we always try to stereotype players. Is he a holding player, is he an attacking player?
“He's actually a throwback to someone who can do everything. He runs, he tackles, he passes, he can defend, honestly, he's fantastic.
“He's likeable, he has integrity when he speaks, you like watching him. He runs all day, the stats we see that he produces, the most pressure, is a dream.
"The work you have to do as a defender and midfielder at Leeds is unreal but he really sets the tone, he's a fantastic player."
Liverpool supporters are likely to disagree with Neville’s comments given Henderson continues to impress for their side.
Having missed a large chunk of the campaign last year through injury, the Reds skipper has been influential in helping his side to an unbeaten start to the season.
And in his time with the Reds, Henderson has captained the Reds to Champions League and Premier League glory and recently put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the club.
