Gary Neville has weighed into the Cristiano Ronaldo debate and told Ralf Rangnick that he has to continue starting for Manchester United - despite his advancing years.
The 36-year-old completed a sensational return switch to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window and has already scored 13 goals during his second coming.
Back at the place where it all begun on a global scale - after 12 years with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Juventus - Ronaldo has been questioned, on occasion, by some 'experts' this season.
However, citing his goalscoring return and other attributes, former teammate-turned-pundit Neville reckons that it would be unthinkable to drop Ronaldo.
He also delivered a stipulation for that selection to continue this campaign.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was named in the side to play Newcastle alongside Marcus Rashford in the 4-2-2-2 formation that has been favoured by Rangnick ever since he stepped into the breach.

Speaking on Monday Night Football, pundit Neville said: "He has to start. I also think he has to have a meaningful partner. He needs someone with him, and I think he's looked good with Rashford with him.
"Thirteen goals in 16 starts is some return. He's doing what he was brought in to do - there's no doubt about that."
