Gary Neville makes bold West Ham top-six prediction following 2-0 win over Manchester United

Former Manchester United star Gary Neville has compared West Ham to the Red Devils and offered up his take on the way the top six may shake up.

The Hammers shocked United on Sunday by producing a strong performance to seal a 2-0 victory in the capital.

It moved Manuel Pellegrini's men up to fifth and level on points with Arsenal and Leicester City, who are both only above them on goal difference.

West Ham have not suffered defeat in the Premier League since their opening weekend heavy loss at the hands of Manchester City.

Neville believes the Hammers have every right to feel confident at the moment.

The former England defender says both West Ham and Leicester City have players that United would love to have and he says the two sides could break into the top six this season.

"If West Ham and Leicester keep their squads fit, they have got a really good chance of getting into that sixth or fifth position," Neville explained in his Sky Sports' podcast.

"I looked at Manchester United's team for instance on Sunday compared to West Ham and you would probably swap quite a few players into it.

"It's the same with Leicester for the likes of (James) Maddison, (Youri) Tielemans, (Jamie) Vardy, Demarai Gray and others.

"They would get into this Manchester United team or bench.

"So there is a really good chance for West Ham and Leicester to push into those fifth and sixth positions.

"Arsenal are erratic, Chelsea are unreliable and young and Manchester United are unreliable and young.

"We saw Leicester miraculously break through to win the league a few years ago and it wouldn't be a miracle for them to make the top four or top five this season."
