Gary Neville watched on as Salford City won the EFL Trophy with Jamie Carragher poking fun at his Sky Sports colleague.
Neville is one of six former Manchester United stars who co-own the League Two side.
Salford needed penalties to see off Portsmouth 4-2 at Wembley with Neville taking to social media to celebrate their victory.
But Carragher has jokingly said it is "the first trophy he's won without Sir Alex Ferguson".
The showpiece final was taking place nearly a year after its original date due to the global pandemic.
Sunderland and Tranmere will play in 2021's renewal of the competition on Sunday afternoon.
That led Carragher to quickly dampen his message of congratulations by point out that Salford would only have the trophy for 24 hours.
Salford boss Richie Wellens had called the game a "hindrance" and a "distraction" but his side put in a battling performance.
The contest remain goalless after extra-time meaning it went to penalties.
Portsmouth twice missed from the spot which gave Jason Lowe a chance to win the game for Salford.
Speaking after the game Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett said his side had to "move on quickly."
"I felt Salford had the first half but, from half-time on, we were on top," he told the BBC.
"It was good to create some chances in and around their box, but that's hurting us at the moment, we need to score when we're on top.
"If we show that type of intent going forward in the games ahead, it will come. We have to concentrate hard now, with a very big week ahead, that our season doesn't slip away.
"If we can repeat that intent we showed in the second half and in extra time, we will win games.
"We have to get over this quickly and move on. It's not been a good run of results for us, but generally in games we haven't been creative enough or scored enough goals."
