Gary Neville immediately responds to Liverpool's unbeaten run coming to an end at Watford

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has posted a sarcastic video on Twitter reacting to Liverpool's shock 3-0 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road this evening .

Jurgen Klopp's side travelled to Hertfordshire unbeaten in their last 44 Premier League matches, knowing that another three-point haul would have taken them to within just three more wins of winning the Premier League.

But the Reds' hopes of going the entire season unbeaten came to a dramatic conclusion, as the Hornets scored three second half goals from Ismaila Sarr (2) and Troy Deeney, meaning the Reds will have to wait just that little bit longer before moving one step closer towards laying their hands on the trophy.

After suffering such a surprise defeat, which has, of course, brought Liverpool's hopes of matching Arsenal's famous unbeaten season in the 2003/04 campaign to an end , it has not taken Sky Sports pundit Neville to poke fun at Liverpool's hopes of going unbeaten come to an end.

The former England man, who is often seen enjoying playful banter with fellow Sky Sports pundit and ex-Reds defender Jamie Carragher on the nation's TV screens, has taken to Twitter to showcase exactly what his reaction was to Liverpool suffering a first league defeat since January 2019.

Neville has posted a video on Twitter of him opening a bottle of champagne to celebrate, at the same time donning a cheeky grin.

Despite the defeat, Liverpool remain in the driving seat to win their first-ever Premier League title, boasting a lead of 22 points at the top of the table.
