Gary Neville identifies "sensational" Man City quality which can fire them to Premier League title

Manchester City still have the upper hand in the Premier League title race despite trailing Liverpool by two points.

That's down to a crucial 3-1 win at Crystal Palace on Sunday, which briefly put the Blues back to the top of the league, only for Liverpool to move clear again after defeating Chelsea.

But Man City can win the title if they claim victory in all of their remaining matches and one man who believes that will happen is former Manchester United star Gary Neville, who has hailed Pep Guardiola's men after the success in the capital.

But it's not just the result that had Neville praising City during an appearance on Monday Night Football, it was also the way the Blues performed late on.

Two Raheem Sterling goals had put City in a great position at Palace before the hosts pulled one back in the 81st minute.

But rather than wilt under the pressure, Neville was left hailing a City team which proved they have a key ingredient to go on and secure the Premier League trophy.

The Kevin De Bruyne moment at Crystal Palace that will thrill Pep Guardiola for Tottenham return

"For me City were outstanding for 80 minutes. I thought 'here we go' when Palace scored in the last ten minutes," Neville told Sky Sports.

"City's last eight or nine minutes was the most impressive part of that match. It was outstanding and on another level.

"We talk about game management and that was perfect. He has adapted this team to see out a game like no other side in Premier League history.

"I don't think many teams would play short passes inside their own box. If you look at the possession after the goal conceded it was brilliant and Palace didn't even have a shot on target.

"If you think about being cold going for a Premier League title, what Manchester City did to win that game was sensational on reflection."
