Gary Neville has hit out at England boss Gareth Southgate for his tactical set-up after the Three Lions were beaten 1-0 by Denmark in the Nations League.
It had been a successful international break for England until Wednesday, with the side recording a 3-0 friendly win over Wales and a 2-1 victory over Belgium in the Nations League.
But they were disappointing against the Danes at Wembley, with a Christian Eriksen penalty proving the winner after Harry Maguire had been sent off for two bookable offences in the first half.
Some believe Southgate set up too defensively in spite of being down to ten men, and Neville thinks his formation did not work with the players he had in the team.

The Sky Sports pundit took to Twitter on Thursday morning to post: "The issue with the 3-4-3 within the last two games is you end up with 8 ( inc GK ) defensive / positionally rigid players on the pitch .
"If you add Harry Kane to that who is more of a fixed Striker you have 9 players that don’t interchange and rotate. It’s a little predictable."
England are now down in third place in their Nations League group, and must wait until next month before their final games against Belgium and Iceland.
Much of the attention following full-time at Wembley focused on Maguire, who has suffered a torrid time of late both on and off the pitch.

Following his sending off just after the half-an-hour mark, Neville said on commentary: "That sums up his last 4-6 weeks. Terrible time for him.
"I thought he was lucky with the first challenge. That was in between a yellow and a red.
"It's scruffy play from him. The touch is really slack, and then the follow-through..."
