Gary Neville gives damning verdict on Jadon Sancho to Manchester United transfer saga

Jadon Sancho is edging closer to a move to Manchester United.

The Borussia Dortmund winger, who is currently away on international duty with England at Euro 2020, has been a long term target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's side.

Negotiations were opened with Dortmund last season, and Sancho looked close to signing a deal but the deal fell through at the last hurdle and United were forced to rue their actions.

Sancho has excelled since and produced yet another stellar season in Germany unaffected by the summer's transfer drama.

He scored 20 goals and registered 16 assists in 38 games for Dortmund during 2020/21.

His form has encouraged United to reignite their interest in the Three Lions star and it seems like the Reds will have a better outcome this summer compared to last year.

With Dortmund more open to the idea of Sancho leaving and United looking more likely to meet their demands - a deal could be imminent.

After a year-long saga with endless rumours and speculation all three parties will likely breathe a sigh of relief once negotiations are over and the move is wrapped up.

United legend Gary Neville echoed similar sentiments on social media.

"A transfer should be a joy and a moment of excitement . I’ve never been more bored by a transfer in my life to the point I feel like he’s already signed and I want to know who is next already. Not the lads fault at all I should say!" he told his four and a half million followers on Twitter.

Sancho has warmed the bench for England at Euro 2020 so far - his future could be wrapped up during the tournament, but things could speed up if England were to be eliminated.

With such an impressive pedigree, and still just 21-years-old, United should be excited about the arrival of Sancho despite the long-drawn-out saga.
