Gary Neville explains what he thinks it would take for Glazers to sell Manchester United

Gary Neville says it would take an enormous cash offer for the Glazer family to consider selling Manchester United, after being quizzed by supporters on social media.

The past few months have seen a rise in the number of United fans protesting about the ownership of the club by the Americans, who have now been in charge for 14 years.

Many supporters are keen to see the club sold after becoming unhappy with the amount of money spent on transfers and United's performances on the pitch since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.

And one fan asked former United captain Neville if he thought the Glazers would sell — and what it would take for them to do so.

The Sky Sports pundit replied: "Nope not for one minute without an off the scale offer above the level it's valued!"

Neville has been a vocal critic of the club — and in particular executive vice chairman Ed Woodward — during his time as a pundit. Woodward has a close relationship with the owners and manages the commercial operations at the club, as well as overseeing transfer and contract negotiations, along with head of corporate development Matt Judge.

Neville retired from playing in 2011 and, as well as punditry, co-owns Salford City and the Hotel Football that is situated next to Old Trafford, along with former United Class of 92 legends Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, brother Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and David Beckham.
