Gary Neville drops Manchester United transfer hint live on Sky Sports

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has hinted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should consider a move for Leicester City loanee Youri Tielemans.

The Belgium international has caught the eye with Brendan Rodgers’ side since arriving in the Premier League from Monaco during the January transfer window and the Foxes are keen to secure his services on a permanent basis.

However, his form has attracted the attention of a number of top-six sides in the Premier League and Neville dropped a not so subtle suggestion to United while on punditry duty for Sky Sports.

“On Tielemans, I think the issue that Leicester will have is that there are midfields in the top six that need strengthening,” he said.

That prompted a question from Graeme Souness, who suggested United when asking “Who are you talking about?”.

Sky Sports presenter David Jones added “How far away are you looking Gary?” as he looked out of the studio window towards the Old Trafford pitch, ahead of United’s clash with Chelsea.

“A 21 year-old for £40 million. He’s proved himself in the Premier League, a dress rehearsal. They may struggle to keep him,” Neville continued, following laughter in the Sky Sports studio.
