Gary Neville delivers transfer warning to Liverpool and Tottenham over Man United troubles

Harry Kane was stunningly linked with a move to Manchester United on Sunday.

Tottenham are struggling for form this season and going through probably the most difficult time of Mauricio Pochettino's tenure at the club.

Three wins, three draws and three defeats have got this season off to a mediocre start.

Manchester United's slow start to the season has also raised eyebrows, with Pochettino and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer among the favourites to lose their jobs first in the Premier League this season.

Red Devils legend Roy Keane suggested, after the Super Sunday clash with runaway league leaders Liverpool, that United should go all out and sign Harry Kane from Tottenham in the next transfer window.

However, fellow United legend and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville thinks Solksjaer should be looking elsewhere at Tottenham.

He said: "I look at [Roberto] Firmino when he first came to England, I look at [Mohamed] Salah when he was first at Chelsea, I look at [Sadio] Mane. Sometimes players have to develop into what they are going to become.

"I think United want a striker like Firmino, like Son [Heung-min] at Tottenham. I think Solskjaer wants that type of player.

"I don't think he wants a typical striker who is basically going to be a [Romelu] Lukaku or a [Diego] Costa.

"I don't think he's looking for that type. I think he's looking for a more mobile type in a front three or a front two. I don't think Ole wants a striker like that; I think he wants a mobile striker."
