Gary Neville claims Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United - and agent is to blame

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has claimed Paul Pogba has had his head turned and wants to leave in the summer.

The French World Cup winner has been an important figure in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in recent months but has been heavily linked with a move to join compatriot Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

United ’s club-record signing continues to divide opinions from former players and others in the media but Neville admitted he is a world-class player.

However, he has predicted United may have a problem on their hands as he believes his agent may be orchestrating a transfer.

“I think he is world-class. I don’t think he wants to be here, that’s his problem. His agent is into him,” he told Sky Sports.

“He’s done brilliant for Ole, by the way, scored 11 goals and made seven assists or so.

“I thought a few months ago that everything was brilliant, but I said that I believed the issues would resurface. We know his agent, we know the influence he has, and he’s had his head turned by other clubs.

“He’s playing like somebody who doesn’t quite want to be here. But he could go out and turn up.

“But a player who doesn’t want to be at the club, and has a big influence in the dressing room on the likes of Lingard and Rashford, if he’s not at it, it’s a massive problem.”

Neville’s comments came alongside a strong statement from former United captain Roy Keane, who suggested that the former Juventus man is a selfish player.

“You need more than talent. The real top players make their team better. He doesn’t do that. He plays for himself,” he added.
