Gary Neville claims Man City look bored under Pep Guardiola after dull Man Utd draw

Gary Neville has claimed Manchester City "look like a team that is bored" after they played out a drab 0-0 draw with Manchester United in the Premier League.

Neither side showed enough attacking intent to come away with a win in the 183rd Manchester derby, with just four shots on target being mustered up between them.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appeared content with a point and a clean sheet after United's disappointing Champions League exit in midweek but Neville claimed he was "surprised" at City's display.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville said: "There was no intent there. Whether on the pitch or from the managers to win the match.

"That was really poor, and we shouldn't accept that. We can say both teams played in midweek, there's no fans, but we've put a lot of emphasis on the speed, thrill, risk to win in the Premier League.

"There's nothing in that game that tells me any of those things existed today. I'm really surprised at City, they look like a team that is bored a little bit.

"And they have no option but to win the league, that's it. It just wasn't Man City, it wasn't Pep Guardiola, in and out of possession."

Speaking after the game, Guardiola told BBC Sport: "They started well after we finished the first half well. We created three or four clear chances, you cannot expect many against a team like United and a good point in the end.

"It will be a good point in the future. United is always a strong team, this is Old Trafford and in a few details they are out of the Champions League. They score when they can run but we controlled them really well.

"It is not a derby, it would be different with the people and maybe they pushed more. It is different every week without the people, the virus is still there, you have to be careful."
