Manchester City trail Liverpool by two points in the battle for the Premier League title but Gary Neville insists Pep Guardiola’s men have a distinctive advantage.
It’s not just the fact that Man City have a game in hand which will benefit them, according to the Manchester United legend.
Neville feels that it’s the timing of upcoming matches which has handed City the clear edge in the title race.

The former United defender explains that it’s not just about who the two rivals are facing and rather the fact that City will have the mental plus of playing first in the coming weeks.
City host Cardiff City on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium and could move one point clear of Liverpool with a victory.
Neville told Sky Sports: “City have an advantage in the next four games as they play in front of Liverpool.
"I think it’s always an advantage to play first so they can get the points on the board and put pressure on."

Neville also adds that some of Liverpool’s remaining games will be tougher than they appear on paper, with the Sky Sports pundit explaining that Friday’s trip to Southampton could potentially be more arduous than meeting Chelsea at Anfield later this month.
He added: “I don’t see Chelsea at home as the game that will catch Liverpool out.
"If they are going to have a problem I think it will be those away games."
