Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher make season predictions - and disagree on top four

Sky Sports punditry pair Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher made their predictions for the season on Monday night, with both agreeing that they think Manchester City will win the Premier League for a third season in a row.

Speaking after the channel's live coverage of Manchester United's 1-1 draw at Wolves , the pair agreed that City, Carragher's old club Liverpool and Tottenham will make up the top three in that order.

However there was a difference in opinion over who would come fourth, with Neville going for United and Carragher opting for Arsenal.

Neville said: "I think United will get into the top four.

"Not because of what happened last week (beating Chelsea), I think United have got more options at centre-forward – Martial and Rashford.

"I think Chelsea will struggle to score goals and losing Hazard was devastating for them."

However, Carragher said: "It’s a toss up with Arsenal . It’s whoever goes furthest in the Europa League, that could cause a problem.

"If we’re talking about Manchester United having more options up front than Chelsea, yeah totally agree with that. But I actually think the fire power Arsenal have might edge Manchester United.

"I think in Lacazette and Aubameyang, that’s a proper goal threat. Probably as good as anything with two strikers."

The pair each named Everton as the side that could get closest to the traditional top six, and picked out Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as their player of the year.

Neville went for Sergio Aguero as top goalscorer with Carragher picking Harry Kane, with the former Manchester United man also suggesting James Maddison and Paul Pogba will have good seasons, and Carragher picking out Moise Kean and Mason Mount as players who will impress.
