Gary Neville and David Beckham react as Jadon Sancho starts for England vs Ukraine

Jadon Sancho has received the backing of Manchester United legend Gary Neville after being handed his first start at Euro 2020 for England, while David Beckham has sent a message of his own to Gareth Southgate's side

The Three Lions take on Ukraine in the quarter-final clash of the international tournament and after only featuring for six minutes in the four game prior to this, Sancho has been handed a start against Ukraine with a place in on the line.

Sancho will line up on the right of England's attacking line alongside Manchester City's Raheem Sterling and Chelsea's Mason Mount in behind captain Harry Kane.

England and Manchester United legends Neville and Beckham reacted to the England team news positively on Instagram.

United's former number seven posted a good luck message to the squad as a whole, with the St George's flag followed by the message "Here we go. Come on the boys @England".

Neville was a bit more subtle with his good luck message as he liked the Sky Sports post that depicted Sancho and was captioned "Jadon Sancho gets his first start at Euro 2020".

Sancho will join Manchester United after his involvement in the tournament comes to an end, with the club agreeing a £72.9million fee with Borussia Dortmund earlier this week.

The winner of the England vs Ukraine quarter-final will take on Denmark in the semi-final at Wembley on Wednesday 7th July at 8pm.
