Gary Neville aims cheeky jibe at Rafa Benitez as Newcastle manager reminded he will face Liverpool

Gary Neville cheekily told Rafa Benitez not to "relax" when his Newcastle United side face Liverpool.

The Spainard and former Reds manager was being interviewed on Sky Sports after the Magpies beat Leicester City 1-0.

He was asked by Kelly Cates about his upcoming games and it was pointed out that Benitez would be facing Jurgen Klopp's side on May 5.

Neville quickly shouted: "Don’t relax!"

Anfield legend Jamie Carragher then added it was “mind games” in response, before the former Manchester United defender went on to add that the Magpies still needed three points.

Benitez smiled at Neville’s remarks and gave a measured answer as he revealed the Magpies were taking it game by game.

He said: "We will see what happens in the next one and if we play against Liverpool , and they’re top, we’ll do our best, we’ll try to do our best."
