The third major of the year will get underway on Thursday as the golfing stars flock to Los Angeles.
It has been a rollercoaster year for golf with the future of the professional game expected to take a different shape next year after the PIF Investment in the PGA Tour.
But players will put all that to one side as they all aim to win the US Open.

Matt Fitzpatrick held off Will Zalatoris last year to win the tournament and we are expecting another great week of golf.
Irish Mirror columnist Gary Murphy has also had his say about this week's major.
Writing in today's newspaper, Murphy has backed Scottie Scheffler to do the business at 7/1 and reckons the American's tee-to-green game is second to none but also says he has blind faith in Rory McIlroy at 12/1.
He said: "I still have blind faith in Rory - he, too, has the skill set to love the challenge. His driving ability will give him great hope that that fifth major is a strong possibility this week.
"He will return to Royal Liverpool in a months' time when, hopefully, we will be talking about a double major season.
"I also think the announcement last week will give clarity that his golf is the most important ingredient.
"The off-the-course soap opera of the last 18 months is over. He can go back to thinking solely about adding majors."
Murphy has also backed Viktor Hovland to scoop his first major after his recent win at the Memorial and also thinks Tyrrell Hatton is a good bet at 28/1 while has said Russell Henley could be a good each-way bet at 80/1.
