Gary McAllister predicts Rangers crescendo against Celtic as he gives player availability update

Confident Gary McAllister is backing Rangers to find their rhythm against Celtic as he called upon players and supporters to "come together" on Sunday.

The Ibrox side hope to have key figures back after Covid chaos engulfed their camp ahead of their stuffy 0-0 second leg away to Alashkert.

Steven Gerrard and six key players were absent but hope remains some of them will be back in contention against Ange's Postecoglou's side due to updated guidance over self isolation for those who are double vaccinated.

And McAllister is full of belief with Rangers also set to welcome back Kemar Roofe and John Lundstram from suspension as he issued an Ibrox call to arms.

He said: "I see Sunday as a coming together for everyone at the club after a tough three or four days. For the fans, staff, players and board - everyone coming together and looking for a positive result."

And McAllister revealed he has no fresh injury concerns heading into the crunch encounter with their great rivals.

He added: "Scott Arfield took a sore one on his toe but all fine after the match. We also have players returning from suspension so we have more bodies in the squad for Sunday."
