Gary Lineker takes underhand swipe at Man Utd after win over Leicester City

Gary Lineker took a cheeky underhand swipe at Manchester United following their victory over Leicester City on Saturday.

Lineker is a Foxes supporter and watched on as the Red Devils ran out 1-0 winners in what was an uneventful match at Old Trafford.

Taking to Twitter to offer his thoughts on the game and the final result, Lineker suggested Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men parked the bus after scoring.

The Match of the Day host tweeted: "A win for Man United. Leicester once again struggling against a team who just sit back and defend."

The tweet had the deserved effect, with United fans hitting back at the suggestion.

One wrote: "How dare a team winning defend that lead," while another added: "Man United without three of their first XI players. Six of the squad injured.

"Leicester's so called best right-back got bullied by United's academy kids. What a joke Leicester."

And a third concluded: "Say that without crying please."

United's clash with Leicester got off to a flying start after Caglar Soyuncu brought down Marcus Rashford in the box early in the contest.

A penalty was awarded for the foul, which Rashford promptly dispatched, but the game quickly went stagnant from there with United seeing out their advantage to win.
