Gary Lineker takes cheeky dig at Jose Mourinho after Manchester United's victory over Chelsea

Gary Lineker has taken a cheeky dig at Jose Mourinho after Manchester United's impressive win over Chelsea at Old Trafford.

United scored four goals to make it a perfect start to the Premier League season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Marcus Rashford scored twice with Anthony Martial and substitute Daniel James completing the rout against Frank Lampard's side.

One man in attendance was former United boss Jose Mourinho who was part of the Sky Sports punditry team for the match.

Lineker used the opportunity to have a joke at the 'Special One' after a difficult end to his time at United.

He tweeted: "This is definitely @ManUtd’s best performance with Mourinho at Old Trafford."

Speaking about United's performance, Mourinho admitted he was impressed with what he had seen.

He told Sky Sports: "They don’t have a reason to feel anything but positive.

"It’s an amazing result, the whole thing before the game is they can play to be champions. I have to keep my opinion, I think they will not be champions but they can have a good season."
