Gary Lineker sums up what some Spurs fans are saying about Serge Aurier after Liverpool defeat

Former Tottenham forward Gary Lineker has delivered his verdict on Serge Aurier after he conceded a penalty in the crucial Premier League clash against leaders Liverpool.

With the score at 1-1 at Anfield, the Spurs full-back was penalised for a challenge on Mane, with a penalty awarded to the league leaders, which was duly converted by Mohamed Salah to give Liverpool a 2-1 lead.

It completed a turnaround for the league leaders, after Harry Kane had earlier given Spurs the lead inside the first minute of the game.

Jordan Henderson levelled the score with a rare goal for Liverpool, with the leaders then pushing hard for a winner at Anfield as they looked to restore their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

But with both sides going in search of a winner, Liverpool were then handed the opportunity from the penalty spot to take the lead for the first time, which they duly did.

And the host of the BBC programme Match of the Day, Lineker, reacted to the incident on social networking website Twitter, with the former Spurs man speaking out about Aurier's involvement as he questioned what the Ivory Coast international was thinking.

Lineker was not the only one asking that question, with many Tottenham fans also taking to social media to criticise the defender, who was substituted soon after by Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Here's what some Spurs fans have been saying about Aurier.
