Gary Lineker sends Liverpool warning to rest of the Premier League

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker has issued a Premier League title race verdict that Liverpool fans will love.

The Reds won 5-2 after coping remarkably well without two of their dominant front three.

Jurgen Klopp made the bold decision to leave Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah on the bench for the Merseyside Derby at Anfield but that didn't stop the hosts scoring four first-half goals.

Divock Origi bagged a brace while Xherdan Shaqiri and Sadio Mane added goals to give the Reds a commanding lead.

Gini Wijnaldum added a fifth in the final minute of normal time to add insult to injury.

And it led to former Everton striker turned prominent pundit Lineker offering up some glowing praise on Liverpool.

"Liverpool showing that they’ll be able to cope with injuries to any of the front three. Really difficult to envisage them not running away with the title this season," Lineker tweeted.

Liverpool have had to cope without first choice goalkeeper Alisson, Joel Matip and Mohamed Salah for various chunks of the season.

And the showing against Everton particular in attack has highlighted that the Reds can deal without some of their key men.
