Gary Lineker has admitted Denmark's Euro 2020 clash with Finland was 'the most difficult' of his career following Christian Eriksen's collapse.
The Dane was rushed to hospital after receiving CPR on the pitch as the game was suspended in Copenhagen.
With BBC Sport broadcasting the match live, the coverage went back to presenter Lineker in the studio after it was confirmed that the game had been suspended.
However, once Eriksen was confirmed to be 'awake and stable', the match was resumed at the request of the players with the former Everton striker and pundits Cesc Fabregas, Alex Scott and Micah Richards also continuing their duties.
And Lineker took to Twitter to wish the midfielder well when reflecting on the evening.
"In 25 years of doing this job, that was the most difficult, distressing and emotional broadcast I’ve ever been involved with," he said. "Thanks to @cesc4official @AlexScott @MicahRichards for your professionalism, warmth and empathy. Get well soon, Christian Eriksen."
