Christian Pulisic was handed just his fourth Premier League start against the Clarets and he repaid head coach Frank Lampard in spades.
Not only did the young American midfielder score his first Premier League goal, but grabbed his second and third too with a superb hat-trick to lay waste to any claims that he is struggling to adapt to life in England.
Pulisic was seen in tears after being substituted during America's defeat to Canada during the international break, but little more than a week later you will struggle to keep the smile off his face.
After a brilliant hat-trick, Willian added a fourth Blues goal as they threatened to run riot at Turf Moor.
And it left Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker concerned.
Why?
Because his team Leicester City made all the headlines over the weekend with a record-breaking 9-0 hammering of Southampton on Friday night.
And he posted a brilliant message on Twitter during the second half at Turf Moor.
Lineker said: "If Chelsea score 10 I'll be gutted."
It does not look like ten is going to happen, so the Leicester record from Friday night will stay intact, Gary.
