Gary Lineker perfectly sums up N'Golo Kante's stunning strike against Liverpool

The whole football world stopped to applaud N'Golo Kante as he powered in a lifeline for Chelsea against Liverpool.

Excluding those from the red half of Merseyside, the Frenchman has received plaudits from all over the globe for his phenomenal strike.

Goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino put Liverpool the ascendancy and a two-goal cushion until Kane stepped up to half the arrears.

Chelsea felt aggrieved to have not been level already, with Cesar Azpilicueta having his goal ruled out after VAR adjudged Mason Mount offside earlier in the move that saw the captain turn the ball home, with the score at 1-0.

With the Blues in need of a hero to catapult them back into the contest, Kante stepped up to the plate as he so often does.

The midfielder embarked on a mazy run past a couple of Liverpool players before rifling a shot, which had such little backlift, that arrowed straight into the top corner, leaving Adrian with no chance.

Kante was a doubt before the match having missed the last few matches through injury but was brought straight back into the starting XI by Frank Lampard, whilst Mason Mount was also passed fit.

Gary Lineker has been quick to praise the World Cup winner on Twitter for his marvellous strike, echoing the thoughts of most football fans and certainly those of a Chelsea persuasion.

A simple, yet effective tweet, summing up the enigma that is Kante.
