Gary Lineker responds to rumours that Arsenal legend Ian Wright I'm A Celebrity rumours

Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker has responded to rumours that Arsenal legend Ian Wright is set to jet off to Australia in order to appear on reality TV show 'I'm a Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here' with a cheeky post on social media.

The former Gunners' striker will appear on Match of the Day tonight as a pundit.

Rumours have been circulating around that Wright has agreed to appear on the reality TV show that will see him taking part in challenges including thousands of insects and jungle creatures, as well as camping out in the Australian jungle.

Ahead of this week's Match of the Day, Lineker has posted on social media to add fuel to the fire.

"Last Match of the Day before Ian Wright possibly, maybe, who knows, disappears for a few weeks. Me and Alan Shearer are worried about catching jungle fever."

Wright scored 149 goals in 249 appearances for Arsenal, and has worked as a pundit since retiring in 2000 after a 15 year career that saw him score 113 Premier League goals in 213 appearances for the Gunners, Crystal Palace and West Ham United.

Whether the rumours are true is yet to be seen, but Lineker is certainly enjoying them for now.
