Gary Lineker responds to Mino Raiola after latest Paul Pogba and Manchester United claim

Former England striker Gary Lineker hit out at Mino Raiola after his latest comments regarding Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The outspoken Italian claimed that Pogba's time at Old Trafford is over, in an interview with Italian media outlet Tuttosport which is due to be published in full later on Tuesday.

Considering the comments have come to light just two days after Pogba's impressive performance against West Ham United, when he stated after the match how he wants to be successful at the club, the timing couldn't really be worse.

United are also preparing for a crucial Champions League tie against RB Leipzig, where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side need a point to secure their spot in the knockout stages of the competition.

Never one to avoid the spotlight, Raiola has been up to his old tricks with the comments breaking on the eve of their most important game of the season so far.

His remarks caused an uproar on social media, with fans critical of the unpopular agent, and it's not just the supporters who have been left unhappy.

Lineker, who is set to host BT Sport's coverage of United's Champions League tie with Leipzig, also hit out with his own comment on Twitter.

"Not quite over. There's a pretty big game to play tomorrow for starters. You'd think he might bear that in mind," the ex-England striker posted.

Pogba's future is now set to be a major talking point heading into the match in Germany and will serve as a distraction that Solskjaer would have been keen to avoid.
