Gary Lineker reacts to Leicester City drawing Man Utd in FA Cup quarter-finals

Gary Lineker was clearly not best pleased after his beloved Leicester City drew Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The Foxes progressed to the last eight courtesy of a last minute goal from Kelechi Iheanacho in a 1-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday.

Their reward for that victory is a tricky-looking encounter with United, who themselves beat West Ham 1-0 after extra time to secure their qualification.

Lineker was on presenting duty for Barnsley's clash against Chelsea on Thursday evening, with the draw taking place shortly before kick-off at Oakwell.

And as he went through the four ties he took a notable pause before announcing the Leicester game, before saying: "Ooh...tough. In all sorts of different ways. It's (also) a tough one for Man City."

Pundit Alan Shearer added: "It's a good one, some good draws in there - exciting!"

Leicester will be the slight underdogs against United but it could be a fascinating encounter at the King Power Stadium as Brendan Rodgers' side look to win the famous old trophy for the first time in the club's history.

Elsewhere in the draw Manchester City will travel to Everton in what should be another highly competitive tie.

There is an intriguing South Coast derby on offer as Championship side Bournemouth host Southampton, who beat Wolves 2-0 in Thursday's early game.

And after seeing off Barnsley 1-0 Chelsea will take on Premier League strugglers Sheffield United in the final tie.

Leicester are having yet another impressive season, and currently sit in third place in the table, just two points behind United.

And while both teams will no doubt prioritise Champions League qualification over FA Cup success, there is no doubt that neither Rodgers nor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would turn their nose up at a trophy to add to the cabinet.
