Arsenal made major moves in the summer transfer window and it's safe to say that some of them are already paying off.
The Gunners began their 2019/20 Premier League campaign with a solid 1-0 win at Newcastle United last weekend and they followed it up this lunchtime by edging past Burnley thanks to a 2-1 victory at the Emirates.
Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring for Unai Emery's men before Ashley Barnes equalised for Burnley just before the break.
Arsenal, who dominated possession but had less shots than Burnley, scored the decisive goal in the second half when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang found the back of the net.
Aubameyang again proved the match winner for the Gunners but new signing Dani Ceballos, who made his first competitive start for the club, received praise aplenty for his performance, with the 23-year-old the top trend in the UK after the game.
One of the people offering up kind words on social media was former Tottenham star turned BBC pundit Gary Lineker, with the former England striker providing a glowing verdict which Arsenal fans will love.
"Ceballos is a lovely footballer. Admired him at Betis and wondered why it hasn’t really happened for him at Real Madrid," Lineker tweeted.
Arsenal signed Ceballos on a season-long loan from Real Madrid in the summer and given the reaction from fans to his first competitive start, it won't be long before he becomes a favourite in the capital.
