Gary Lineker predicts England call up for Manchester United player Mason Greenwood

Gary Lineker believes an England call-up for Manchester United player Mason Greenwood is just around the corner.

Greenwood scored his 17th goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against West Ham on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old's strike prompted Lineker to shower praise on the 18-year-old, who has featured for England's under-21s but is yet to play for the senior team.

Lineker tweeted: "Won’t be long before Greenwood gets the green-light for @England."

Greenwood is the first player to score ten Premier League goals in a season as a teenager since Romelu Lukaku in the 2012-13 campaign.

Meanwhile, United's aforementioned draw with West Ham means they now sit third in the Premier league table on 63 points.

While it was blow to drop two points for United, Liverpool's win over Chelsea meant that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men actually jumped up two spots in the table from fifth to third.

United face Leicester City on the final day of the season and now know that a draw will secure Champions League football for next term.
