Garry Lineker has heaped praise on Manchester City and Kevin De Bruyne for their performances in the 7-0 victory over Leeds United on Tuesday.
City extended their lead at the top of the table to four points after they hammered Leeds in a performance of complete and utter control.
It became apparent that the match was over as a contest after just 13 minutes as goals from Phil Foden and Jack Grealish saw the Blues race into an early lead, but they made sure to hammer the point home for the rest of the 90 minutes.
Kevin De Bruyne made it three with a fantastic finish across the goalkeeper before the break which had Lineker purring on Twitter at half-time.
"Must be pretty demoralising playing against @ManCity," the Match of the Day host wrote. "Not only is there every likelihood you’ll get hammered, but you also hardly get a kick of the ball."
Riyad Mahrez added a fourth just after the break and then De Bruyne grabbed his second in spectacular fashion as he hit a thunderous shot that flew into the top corner.
"B***** h*** @ManCity are ridiculously good. What a hit that is from the superb @DeBruyneKev," Lineker added, accompanied with clapping emojis.
City didn't relent and added another two goals, with defenders John Stones and Nathan Ake getting in on the action.
Even then City wanted to add to their tally but with seven already in the bank, they still managed to inflict the joint-worst defeat in Leeds' history upon them.
