Gary Lineker has once again voiced his opinion on Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, following the defender's position change while on international duty.
The Reds right-back started in midfield for England in their World Cup qualifying victory against Andorra on Sunday.
However, after 45 minutes Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate decided to switch things up and put Alexander-Arnold back to his favoured position of right-back.
Before the game, though, Alexander-Arnold’s position caused a stir on social media among supporters.
Lineker also took the opportunity to voice his opinion about seeing Alexander-Arnold in midfield, and made a “staggering” claim about the Liverpool star.

“He could play anywhere,” wrote Lineker. “The staggering thing would be if he doesn’t play anywhere.”
Before kick-off, Southgate outlined that he has been planning to see Alexander-Arnold in midfield “for a little while”.
“Well we know he is an outstanding footballer and we’ve wanted to look at him in midfield for a little while, we feel today is a good opportunity,” Southgate told ITV.
“He is fabulous with the ball, in particular at club level, he’s been interchanging with Harvey Elliott appearing inside the pitch, so we’ll be hoping maybe he’s a little bit more comfortable in those areas than he maybe was last year.
“But he’s got to play the role his own way we’re quite happy for him to go wide and deliver those killer passes.”
