Gary Lineker has claimed that Liverpool and Manchester City could pull clear of Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title.
City produced an outstanding display on Tuesday when they destroyed Leeds 7-0 to lay down a real marker in the title race.
The Reds responded by coming from a goal down to beat Newcastle 3-1 at Anfield, however Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton.
After the latest round of fixtures, leaders City are now a point clear of second placed Liverpool, with Chelsea now four points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s side.

Lineker took to social media in the wake of Thursday’s results to have his say on the top three.
“The 3 horse race is in danger of becoming a 2 horse race.” He said on Twitter.
Whilst Liverpool and City have been the model of consistency in the last few weeks, Thomas Tuchel’s side are starting to falter.
The west London club have only won two of their last five Premier League games and have slipped from top to third in the last two weeks.
All three sides are due to be back in action this weekend with Liverpool set to travel to Tottenham on Sunday.
City will also be on the road when they take on relegation-threatened Newcastle.
Meanwhile Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways when they travel to Wolves.
