Gary Lineker makes Man City quadruple claim after win vs Tottenham

Gary Lineker says Manchester City could win the quadruple this season after they swept Tottenham aside in the Premier League.

City went seven points clear at the top of the league with their 3-0 win over Spurs and also have a game in hand over second-placed Leicester City.

After an even opening to the game, Rodri's penalty put City 1-0 up midway through the first half before Ilkay Gundogan's second-half brace secured a comfortable victory.

City have now won 16 straight games in all competitions and haven't lost since a 2-0 defeat by Spurs in late November.

Pep Guardiola on the possibility of Ederson taking a penalty for Man City

With City in the FA Cup quarter-finals, the EFL Cup final and the Champions League knockout stages, Lineker believes they could clean up.

"There is a possibility that Man City could win everything this season," the Match of the Day host tweeted. "So good."

Lineker also tweeted a video of his reaction to Gundogan's piece of skill that left Davinson Sanchez floored in the build-up to City's third goal.

"Shouldn't laugh but," Lineker posted as a caption to the video with laughing emojis.

In the video, he can be heard saying "This is it, this is the one... oops," followed by a laugh after Sanchez ended up on the floor.

Summing the goal up in an earlier tweet, Lineker said: "What a pass from Ederson. Poor Sanchez was inside out and comically head-butted the turf."
