Gary Lineker gives verdict on Manchester United transfer business after Daniel James stunner

Manchester United's summer business has been praised by former England striker Gary Lineker.

United made three signings during the window with Aaron Wan-Bissaka joining from Crystal Palace and Harry Maguire signing in a world record deal from Leicester City.

The two defensive signings have both improved the side in their first few displays.

The first deal of the summer saw Daniel James join the club from Swansea City and the young Welsh international has also made a fine impression at Old Trafford.

James netted his third goal of the season in the Premier League game against Southampton on Saturday.

The 21-year-old fired home to equal the same number of Premier League goals as Alexis Sanchez managed at the club.

Lineker has now revealed his admiration for United's business this summer.

Posting on his Twitter account, the Match of the Day presenter said: "Cracking goal from Daniel James. @ManUtd made 3 astute long term signings this summer."
