Gary Lineker gives his opinion on Erling Haaland's unusual goal celebration

Gary Lineker reckons Erling Haaland is going to make "a lot of noise" in football - despite his silent goal celebration.

The Borussia Dortmund star opened the scoring against bitter rivals Schalke in the Revierderby as the Bundesliga returned this weekend.

The Norwegian striker slotted home on the half-hour mark inside an empty Signal Iduna Park, in which celebrations have been banned and some substitutes were seen wearing face masks.

He wheeled away in celebration, as he team-mates sprinted towards him before stopping short and keeping their distance.

What followed was a little dance from the forward, as his team-mates looked on.

Lineker took to twitter shortly after Haaland found the back of the net, where he revealed what he thinks of the forward - and the socially-distant celebration.

He wrote: "This young man is going to make a lot of noise in our game even if his goals, for now, are greeted with silence."

Germany's Football Association worked with Bundesliga organisers to ensure the game's safe return this weekend.

Strict protocols have been put in place, including banning spitting and hugging, in the hope of controlling the disease that has claimed the lives of thousands across the globe.
