Gary Lineker has revealed what was behind the BBC’s interruption after pornographic noises could be heard during coverage of Liverpool’s FA Cup replay against Wolves.
The Reds were at Molineux tonight as they looked to book their place in the fourth round, with the BBC covering the game live.
Lineker and pundits Paul Ince and Danny Murphy were left red-faced when pornographic groaning could be heard as they attempted to present the build-up ahead of kick-off.

Just as Lineker prepared to speak to fellow pundit Alan Shearer on the gantry, he was interrupted by the prank, which continued as he attempted to carry on presenting.
And tweeting after the incident as the game kicked off, the Match of the Day presenter revealed the cause of the noises.
“Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing,” Lineker tweeted, along with a picture of the offending phone.
Speaking at half time, with Liverpool 1-0 up, Lineker added: "Harvey Elliott's goal was a screamer which was not the only one we've had tonight!"
Lineker will be hoping the coverage isn't hit by any more interruptions as Liverpool look to book their place in the fourth round.
A tie against Brighton awaits the winner of the third round encounter, with extra-time and penalties awaiting the two sides should they be unable to find a winner during 90 minutes.
Plenty of Reds commented about the hilarious incident on social media, with one saying: "That’s one way to boost the ratings for an FA Cup third round replay." Another added: "Most incredible thing I’ve ever witnessed on live tele".
