Gary Lineker doubles down on his Leeds United praise and 'love' for Marcelo Bielsa's side

Gary Lineker has once again heaped praise on Leeds United and the style of play under Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites secured their second consecutive win on Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Leicester City, following up on their midweek triumph over Newcastle.

After initially going a goal behind at the King Power Stadium thanks to a strike from Harvey Barnes, Leeds quickly responded with a goal from Stuart Dallas.

Second-half strikes from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison completed a second consecutive win in the Premier League for Leeds, and sees them remain in 12th place in the table.

Lineker, who is often vocal on Twitter about all-things football, did so again soon after the final whistle at the King Power, and use an old tweet of his to reference his point.

“Leeds are really fun to watch, but they’re even more fun to play against,” wrote Lineker, back in December.

Now Lineker has quoted his own tweet after their win over Leicester, and reiterated his view that Leeds are entertaining to watch.

“A few throwing this one back at me, but this was a compliment,” said Lineker.

“What football is meant to be: entertaining and fun to play and watch. Love Bielsa’s team.”
