Gary Lineker confirms when Newcastle United will feature on Match of the Day after Burnley win

Premier League leaders Everton will kick off Match of the Day on Saturday night following their 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side struck early on, through the red-hot Dominic Calvert-Lewin before Neil Maupay levelled the match.

Yerry Mina restored Everton’s lead, with James Rodriguez scoring a brace in the second half, meaning Yves Bissouma’s fine strike was just a consolation.

You will be able to watch highlights from the thrilling encounter on BBC One at 10:25pm this evening.

There were three other Premier League games today, as well, with Chelsea’s comfortable 4-0 victory over Crystal Palace the game that’s being aired second.

Two goals from Jorginho and one each from Ben Chilwell and Kurt Zouma mean the Blues are now level on points with Leeds but boast a superior goal difference.

Leeds United’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City is next up after a thrilling encounter in the West Yorkshire rain.

Rodrigo Moreno’s second-half goal meant the points were shared at Elland Road following Raheem Sterling’s early opener.

Finally, Newcastle United’s 3-1 win over Burnley will be the last game to be shown - with Alain Saint-Maximin scoring the first and a double from Callum Wilson, cancelling out Ashley Westwood’s equaliser.

Full MOTD running order:

Everton 4-2 Brighton & Hove Albion

Leeds United 1-1 Manchester City

Chelsea 4-0 Crystal Palace

Newcastle United 3-1 Burnley
